5 ways to drive traffic to a blog

traffic

1. Investigate setting up a webring with other relevant bloggers. For example if you are giving a seminar with a few other speakers use a webring to link your blogs together. Provide a link in any communications promoting the event.  Have a look at the webring in which I participated. Click on the Triiibes logo in the post. It drove a lot of traffic to my blog.

2. Provide something useful and unique for other people to use. If it’s useful people may forward it on to friends and colleagues. For example my list of upcoming training events has driven a lot of traffic to my blog because it’s useful.

3. If you have taken the time to draft something useful, post the link in relevant forums. For example I posted my links on Triiibes and in The London Bloggers Meetup forum. This generated a lot of traffic.

4. Put links to your blog on other social media sites e.g. on your LinkedIn Profile, Facebook page etc.

5. Assist others in forums e.g. LinkedIn Answers. Answer questions and build your credibility and profile.
